Labor and Employment
Changes in the socioeconomic environment in Japan have meant rapid changes to the country’s labor and employment law. Our attorneys stay abreast of these changes and routinely represent the management of multinational and domestic companies in response to various labor-related legal consultations, such as the preparation and review of work rules and other employment-related rules. We advise and act as representatives in labor disputes (mediation, labor tribunal, civil litigation, collective bargaining with labor unions, etc.) concerning issues such as dismissal and different types of harassment. The firm also provides general advice on labor issues attendant to personnel reduction and corporate restructuring and on employment contracts such as secondment and dispatch contracts.
