Junya Naito and Tsuyoshi Suzuki served as judges at the 16th Intercollegiate Negotiation Competition on November 18 and 19 at Sophia University in Tokyo.

Tsuyoshi Suzuki and Shinichiro Mori served as moderators at the YJAA-AFIA Joint Seminar held on September 29, 2017 in Tokyo, Japan.

The Young Japan Association of Arbitrators (YJAA) is an organization under auspices of the Japan Association of Arbitrators. It consists of young practitioners who are interested in arbitration or mediation. The YJAA aims to promote the practice of arbitration and mediation and to provide a platform for the younger generation to meet and exchange best practices. Tsuyoshi Suzuki serves as the President of YJAA and has just been reappointed.

The Asia-Pacific Forum for International Arbitration (AFIA) is an organization providing young practitioners with a forum to discuss issues and developments in international arbitration, with particular focus on Asia-Pacific. Shinichiro Mori serves as the Country Representative of Japan.

Nobuaki Mukai has co-authored "The Top 100 Antitrust & Competition Law Case Precedents (Court Judgments and JFTC Decisions), 2nd Edition" (October 2017) (Jurist, Additional Volume, No. 234) and authored an section therein entitled Interpretation of "[The Amount of Sales from] Relevant Goods or Services" under Article 7-2 of the Japan Antimonopoly Act for Bid-Rigging Cases (Tsuchiya Kigyo Case).

Kakuji Mitani and Ryota Asakura have authored the Japan chapter of the recently published Seventh Edition of "The International Investigations Review" (ed. Nicolas Bourtin) (The Law Reviews).

Junya Naito will serve as a panelist in a panel discussion entitled "International Arbitration in Japan and How to Improve Japan's Standing as a Viable Seat" at the ICC Arbitration Conference and book launch to be held in Tokyo, Japan on September 22, 2017.

Junya Naito has been appointed as a Committee Member of the Tokyo District Court Committee.
